Concussion and Brain Injury

I have just completed 4 days at the Neuro Optometric Rehabilitation Organisation NORA 2019 Conference. The conference was outstanding, with first class speakers covering many topics related to concussion and brain injury. Treatment protocols regards rest, exercise, nutrition and Optometric rehabilitation were covered.

The need for a multidisciplinary team to support recovery is vital. Many people sustain an injury due to a fall, car accident, sporting accident or simple knock to the head, and as a result experience symptoms of light sensitivity, headaches, poor balance, vertigo, dizziness and tinnitus. These symptoms are related to the visual process and can be alleviated or eliminated with the correct support.

If you know of someone who is struggling with visual symptoms related to a head knock, make sure they know that Neuro Optometric rehabilitation can help.
